
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
Heather is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at the University of Toledo and her master’s degree in Counseling at Argosy University. Heather has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field.
Heather has previous experience as a therapist in a variety of settings including residential treatment, therapeutic day school, and as a crisis therapist. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is an important part of therapy and the foundation for change. She believes that every person and family is unique and will work with each client to determine how they can best make progress.
Heather uses a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioral’ Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help people experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, self-harm. She has advanced training in the treatment of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and related disorders, such as Body Dysmorphic Disorder and body-focused repetitive behaviors. Heather also has advanced training in CBIT (Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics) from the Tourette Association of America.
